Hopefully I'm more descriptive:
http://league.ausgamehost.com/
Basically it is sponsored by Monitor's company, ausgamehost. We're attempting to set up a league and string of 1 day tournaments for UrT. This by no means is meant to replace TDU. It's actually been decided we wont start till TDU has finished (granted it starts and finishes properly, not like GA). This is supposed to be more of a community rather than we tell you what to do. So before seeking interest, we're seeking people to sign up on our forums and collaborate on how to make things better. Poking through rules before they even get put in practice, ensuring it runs fairly.
Being cynical really isn't needed, we're asking for a little bit of help. I understand that Aus Urt is mega cynical seeing as its seen lots of things like this fail. Well we're trying to learn from that, in saying that I think a greater democracy and a wide variety of admins/refs will ensure this. We're learning from GA by listening to people and not being so close minded. Not making one draft of rules and deciding "Okay, cool, that's it.".
Bottom line: If you're willing to provide constructive input, join up. If you want to flame don't do it here. We don't need a lecture on how it'll fail, we *want* people to help out so its fairer and better. By all means we can make it ourselves, but it's nicer with everyone and helps bring the community together.
